Green Schools Programs

Direct Energy sponsors the Alliance to Save Energy's "Green Schools" Program. This two-year initiative will educate and empower students, teachers and staff at 16 Pennsylvania Schools to reduce their energy usage, ultimately savingthem between 5 and 15 percent in energy costs. Direct Energy acquired Clockwork Home Services in June 2010, which has 28 small businesses (16 One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning franchises, 9 Benjamin Franklin plumbing franchises and 3 Mister Sparky Electrical franchises) in the state, employing over 200 people, and its 36 affinity group members employ another 300 people throughout Pennsylvania.
