Twitter and Blogging and Facebook, Oh MY!
PodCamp Pittsburgh 4 Kicks Off to Sold Out Crowd

Pittsburgh, PA, October 9th, 2009 … Tomorrow is the much-anticipated opening of PodCamp Pittsburgh 4, the weekend long 'unconference' on all things social media. PodCamp Pittsburgh features sessions on all things social media, for the person sitting at home, writing their own blog, to veteran podcasters and social media experts.
This year, while the grassroots learning and sharing has stayed the same, some things look a little different. For one, it’s completely sold out. Walk-ups will be sorely disappointed to learn that PodCamp had to cap off registrations last week when the 500th person signed up.
This year also ushers in PodCamp Pittsburgh’s biggest corporate sponsor ever, Pittsburgh-based Direct Energy Business. As more and more businesses and organizations try to incorporate social media into their goals and strategies, they need a place to learn. The Direct Energy Business Mentor Lounge features round the clock experts and sessions to address these needs and a whole complement of sessions will be offered all weekend long, for everyone from the novice to the expert.
Part of their sponsorship is also paying for a visit from The Goodie Truck. The Goodie Truck, a rolling dispenser of fresh, home-baked goodies, will be making a surprise visit to PodCamp on Saturday, distributing treats to the 500-plus people in attendance.
In keeping with the spirit of PodCamp, The Goodie Truck will be tweeting their secret location prior to the visit. Follow them on Twitter to be in the loop.
You can also follow PodCamp Pittsburgh on Twitter.

PodCamp Pittsburgh is a one-of-a-kind event, and further proof that Pittsburgh is truly a city with its eye on the future.
