Direct Energy Business Welcomes PUC Decision
PPL territory market entry plan enhanced by new ruling
Pittsburgh, PA, August 13, 2009 … Direct Energy Business commends the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission for its recent decision to enhance the competitive markets in the PPL utility territory.
"Not only are these great market enhancements," says Dave Grupp of Direct Energy Business, "they are security for commercial and industrial customers that competition will come in and play a part in helping them to manage their energy costs."
Commercial and industrial customers could see their bills spike by as much as 30 percent when the rate caps drop off on January 1, 2010. Direct Energy Business, which already serves almost a 1,000 customers in the PPL territory, is actively working with new customers to help them avoid that spike.
